IMT Dubai’s Two-Year Full-Time
MBA Programme is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in
management knowledge and disciplines, the opportunity to put into practice the
knowledge acquired in the classroom, while developing skills and aptitude
required to operate in complex and continuously changing business environment
and encouraging students’ personal growth within the context of their career
choice.
Program
Objectives
On completion of the MBA Program,
the students should -
Demonstrate an understanding of
the fundamental concepts of business and be able to apply these concepts and
their interrelationships within an organization.
Demonstrate an understanding of
the global, environmental, political, legal and regulatory environments in which
businesses operate.
Demonstrate the ability to think
critically, interrelate and communicate.
Demonstrate the ability to apply
analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems, identify
business opportunities and make decisions.
Demonstrate the capacity to solve
problems and manage effectively in changing environment.
Demonstrate the capacity to lead
individuals and groups effectively in the pursuit of organizational and social
goals.
Eligibility
Applicants must be holding an
undergraduate degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks from a
recognized university.
Applicants are expected to have a
GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). For students graduating from
systems that do not use the GPA system, the basis of computing the percentage
obtained by the candidate in the bachelor's degree would be based on the
practice followed by the university / institution from where the candidate has
obtained the degree.
Students may be admitted on a
probationary basis with less than the 3.0 GPA requirements with exceptional
GMAT/CAT and TOEFL scores.
Official scores of CAT or GMAT
are required. Applicants with relevant work experience may be exempted from the
CAT/GMAT requirement and will be required to take the internal IMT Admission
Test.
TOEFL with a minimum score of 550
(paper based) and 80 plus (internet based). Candidate not having a TOEFL score
will have to appear for the test administered by IMT in first semester.
Work experience is not required,
though candidates having with 1-2 years of work experience will be preferred.
