Joint Management Entrance Test – JMET Application Form 2011
JMET 2011 Application Form has to be submitted ONLINE only. The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the JMET 2011 website of any of the IITs or IISc by following the steps given below:.
Before you start applying online, make sure that you have digital images of your photo and signature in .jpg format that are less than 150 Kb in size. During the application process, you need to upload both the photo and the signature through the JMET 2011 website. The size of the photo and signature should be as specified below:
Photo image size = width x height = 4 cm x 5 cm (resolution =
200 dpi)
Signature image size = width x height = 5 cm x 1 cm (resolution = 200 dpi)
If the face is difficult to identify in your photo, the application form will be
rejected.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories should have a PDF file of their
respective category certificate which needs to be uploaded during the ONLINE
application process. Applicants belonging to OBC(non-creamy layer) do not have
to upload the category certificate since their application fee is same as the
general category students.
Access the JMET 2011 website and click ONLINEapplication submission link to
register as a user. If already registered, then sign-in at the website and
complete the ONLINE application form.
After filling up the ONLINE application form including the uploading of your
photo, signature and category certificate (if applicatble), you may proceed
to make the fee payment. The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates
and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. The application fee is non-refundable.
There are two modes of fee payment. You may choose any of the following
options :
- Core Banking

Access the JMET 2011 website and click online application
submission link to register as a user. If already registered, then
sign-in at the
website and complete the ONLINE application form.

After completing the application form ONLINE, if you choose the
“Core Banking” link for payment, an ONLINE challan containing three
parts i.e.(Bank’s Copy, Institution Copy and Applicant Copy) shall
be generated, containing your Name, unique challan number (which is
same as your application number) and amount to be paid (including
bank charges). Take a print of this generated challan.

Take this challan to any ICICI bank branch within India and make
the payment by cash. Ensure that the bank writes down the bank
transaction ID on the challan for your future reference. The bank
would then subsequently communicate these details to GATE, IIT Delhi.
Keep both the Institution Copy and the Applicant Copy of the challan with you for your record. No need to mail either of these to
GATE, IIT
Delhi.

The unique challan number and the bank transaction id will be
used for matching the payment data and the status of payments will
be updated
on JMET website. If the status of fee payment does not
appear updated within two working days on JMET 2011 website, you
should
contact the GATE office, IIT Delhi.
- Credit / Debit Cards
- Access the JMET 2011 website and click online application
submission link to register as a user. If already registered, then
sign-in at the website and complete the ONLINE application form.
- After completing the application form online, if you choose the
“Pay through credit/debit cards” link for payment, please read the
terms & conditions carefully before making the payment through
Credit/Debit Cards. After accepting the terms & conditions, you will
be redirected to ICICI Bank Payment gateway, wherein you can enter
the Credit/Debit Card* details before confirming the payment. The
fee amount shall be (Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs.750/-
for all other candidates) plus the applicable convenience fees. You
would then be prompted to enter the 3D verification details of your
card for necessary validation of the card. Post validation, you will
be redirected back to the JMET ONLINE application website.
- In case of successful payment, your payment status would change
to Payment received. In case of unsuccessful payment because of
invalid details provided or declining of the transaction by the card
issuing bank, you may reattempt the same with a corrective action at
your end or choose the Core banking option to pay through the
challan mode.
- The status of ONLINE application will be confirmed within two
working days on JMET 2011 website.
*Payment gateway shall accept Credit Cards issued by Master or
Visa and VISA Debit cards of select banks namely, ICICI Bank, HDFC
Bank, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, Andhra Bank, Barclays Bank
PLC, Canara Bank, City Union Bank Ltd, Corporation Bank, Deutsche
Bank AG, GE Money Financial Services Ltd, Indian Overseas Bank,
Kotak Bank – Virtual card, Standard Chartered Bank, Syndicate Bank,
The Federal Bank Ltd and The Karur Vysya Bank Ltd.
5. In case the applicant registers successfully but fails to pay the
required fee on or before the last date for ONLINE application
submission,
his/her application will stand cancelled without any further intimation.
6. If you have submitted the ONLINE application successfully, a PDF file of
your application will be generated which you may keep for
your record. In
the generated PDF file, if your photo and signature are clear and proper,
and your category certificate is uploaded, then
you DO NOT need to send
anything by post.
7. If the uploaded photo, signature and category certificate (where
applicable) are not clear and improper, please follow the instructions
given

What should be sent by speed post?
- If you have submitted the ONLINE application successfully,
including your photo, signature and category certificate (where
applicable), then you do not need to send anything by post.
- If the uploaded photo, signature and category certificate (where
applicable) are not clear and improper, then take a printout of the PDF
application form. Paste a good quality passport size photograph at the
appropriate place and sign the application form at the specified place.
Send the application form along with a self attested copy of the
category certificate (where applicable) by speed post so as to reach
“The Chairman, GATE, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi 110016″ on or
before October 15, 2010. Applications received after this date will be
rejected without further intimation.
Important Note : Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD
categories who do not upload the respective category certificate will be
treated as general category candidates.
Note :
- Incomplete Application Forms will be rejected without further
information to the candidate.
- GATE Office, IIT Delhi will post the JMET 2011 Admit Card by speed post
to the address given in the application form by 12th
November, 2010
- Check your application status at the “app_status” tab of the web site.
- If you do not receive your admit card by 1st December, 2010, you should
contact the GATE Office, IIT Delhi or visit the JMET 2011
website to know
the Registration Number and the address of the test centre.
- You are advised to apply ONLINE well in advance of the last date for
submission (08 Oct. 2010) to avoid any problems due to
reduced access speeds
because of bandwidth overloads especially close to the submission date.
