IIM-L's Manfest '08 &
Capgemini Present 'TREATISE - The International Thought Challenge'
Theme: "Unlocking India's Growth
Potential"
Last Date for Phase I Registration: December 17,
2007
India's wonderful story of
economic growth has been given every possible adjective by critics and believers
alike. While it has proved that all of it is for real, we are still a long way
off from the desired state. India needs a strategy backed by a vision which
would enable it to harness its resources and reach a state of economic
superiority and social well-being. With this philosophy in mind, IIM Lucknow
and Capgemini proudly unveil 'Treatise - International Thought
Challenge', with a theme of "Unlocking India's Growth Potential".
'Treatise - The International
Thought Challenge' is one of Manfest's flag-ship events where business leaders
and management students across the world converge, to get a feel of what the
rest of the world thinks about India's growth story and to find lasting
solutions to some of the most relevant issues faced by India in today's times.
Says Ruchika Agarwal, Manfest Committee member, "We have always believed in
looking at horizons beyond the obvious which enhance quality and can add real
time value to our country's growth."
The winner of Treatise will be
crowned the 'International Thought Champion' and the event carries prizes
worth US $ 3000. The contest comprises of two phases: the First Phase requires
participants to submit a paper based on any one of the given themes, with two
entries from each theme proceeding to Phase Two. Teams will then be formed,
consisting of the two best entries from each of the given themes who will
present their recommendations as a team as well as individually. The selected
finalists will be flown in to Lucknow to present their papers before a
distinguished panel of judges which will include executives from Capgemini and
Evalueserve. The finals will be held during Manfest 2008 at the Indian
Institute of Management, Lucknow on 13th January 2008.
