It is the Joint entrance test
taken by Punjabi University Patiala (Pbi. U), Guru
Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar and Punjab Tecthnical University Jalandhar
(PTU) for the admission of MBA or MCA. It held in the
month of July every year. This year date of examination is not yet annouced.

For Admission to the MBA/MCA courses through
MET-2010, and PAM-CAT 2010, 85 % seats will be reserved for the residents of
Punjab State and 15% seats will be open to candidates outside the State.
Eligibility:
For MBA Course
Recognized Bachelor Degree with minimum three years duration in any discipline
For MCA Course
All those candidates who have any recognized Bachelor
Degree with minimum three years duration in any discipline, with Mathematics at
10+2 school level or have passed BCA of minimum three
years duration from any recognized University.
Note: The eligibility
criteria for admission including educational qualifications as specified by
Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and
Punjabi University, Patiala will be applicable for admission to the
institutions/colleges affiliated to respective Universities.
Specific Eligibility Conditions
for Admission Laid Down By The Respective Universities: Educational
qualifications for admission to the Departments, Institutes and Colleges
affiliated to three Universities, namely, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar,
Punjabi University, Patiala and Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar shall be
as prescribed by the respective Universities. The same, as supplied by the
concerned Universities, are reproduced below:
GURU NANAK DEV UNIVERSITY, AMRITSAR
For MBA
Bachelor’s degree in any stream with no less than 50% marks.
For MCA
BBA/B.Com./B.Com (Professional) /B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics or Graduate in any
stream with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Sciences/Computer Applications/ IT/ Computer Maintenance/Quantitative Techniques as one of the elective subjects with 50% marks in aggregate or any
equivalent degree thereto.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as an elective subject at +2 level.
PUNJABI UNIVERSITY, PATIALA
For MBA
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the Bachelors/Masters Degree examination (45% marks for SC/ST and physically handicapped with at least 40% disability).
For MCA
Candidate who have passed the Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3)/BCA in any discipline of the statutory University with 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST and physically handicapped with at least 40% disability). The candidates must have passed the senior secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination or higher degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics/ Quantitative Techniques or equivalent as compulsory/optional/additional subject or paper.
PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, JALANDHAR
For MBA
Candidates should have passed any recognized Bachelor’s Degree of recognized by association of Indian Universities.
For MCA
All those candidates who have passed any recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics/Business Statistics/Quantitative Techniques as Compulsory/Optional/Additional Paper as one of the subjects either at 10+2 or at graduation level.
