ICET (INTEGRATED COMMON ENTRANCE TEST),Andhra Pradesh 2012
ICET stands for Integrated Common Entrance Test. ICET is
the Common Entrance Examination for admissions to Master of Computer Application
(MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) by following Universities in
Andhra Pradesh.
1. Andhra University
2. Dr. B R Ambedkar Open University
3. JNT University
4. Kakatiya University
5. Nagarjuna University (Including Center for Distance Education)
6. Osmania University
7. SK University
8. SV University
9. Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam, Tirupati
10. NIT Warangal (for MCA Only)
ICET is conducted by any one University in Andhra Pradesh. Generally the chance of conducting ICET
Examination will be given on a rotation basis by the Government of Andhra
Pradesh. ICET 2005 is conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal, ICET 2004 &
ICET 2003 are conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati ICET 2002 is
conducted by Osmania University, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council for
Higher Education (APSCHE).
ICET ELIGIBILITY
a. The Candidate should be Indian Nationals and should
satisfy Local/Non Local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh
Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended
up-to-date
b. Admissions into any college depends on its recognition / Affiliation by the
Statutory bodies
c. Persons other than Indian Nationals shall satisfy the rules of the
Universities concerned and
d. A pass in Bachelor's Degree except BOL & BFA or appearing at the final year
exams of Bachelor's Degree of Universities in Andhra Pradesh or any other
University recognized as equivalent there to Merely qualifying in the Entrance
Test does not entitle a candidate to be admitted into the MBA/MCA courses unless
the candidate;
a. Applies to the Authority Concerned in response to the admission notification
and
b. Satisfies all the eligibility conditions of admission stipulated by the
authority concerned
PATTERN
The test is designed to measured the candidates ability to
think systematically, to employ the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess
his/her aptitude for admission into MBA/MCA programme
This is an objective type test. Questions are of multiple
choice, Out of the given multiple options, the candidate has to choose the
correct answer. The Candidate shall not give more than one answer to any
question. Such answers will be ignored while awarding marks.
DURATION OF THE TEST:
2 1/2 HOURS (150 MINUTES)
