Offered
The
two-year full time Courses offered are:
Masters
in Business Administration (MBA Dual Specialization)
It is a two year full time course with specializations in
Marketing , Finance , Human Resource,
Manufacturing , Materials & Logistics Management.
Eligibility:
A graduate from any statutory University with a minimum of 50%
marks at graduation level. Candidates passing degree examination
by part time / correspondence course, or in one sitting are
not eligible. Final year appearing students can apply but their
admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks.
Intake:
A total of 180 students shall be selected for this course. These
include: 60 seats for International students, 15% and 7.5% of
seats reserved for SC / ST candidates respectively.
15% seats reserved for sponsored candidates.
2% seats reserved for physically handicapped candidates.
Kashmiri Migrants - 2 seats, over and above the total intake.
Sponsored
Category: Any Company or organization whose turnover
is above Rs. 5 crores p.a. could sponsor a candidate applying
under this category. It is obligatory on the part of the sponsoring
Company to offer summer project / final placement to the candidate.
A sponsorship letter mentioning the same and signed by the MD
/ CEO should be submitted along with the form.
Selection
Procedure: The selection procedure consists of initially
a Written Examination. Subsequently, a qualified candidate undertakes
a Group Discussion & a Personal Interview.
The weightages assigned are as below:
Written Test: 150 marks
Group Discussion: 60 marks
Individual Presentation / Interview: 60 marks
*Past Academic Record: 10 marks
Work Experience: 10 marks
Written Communication Skills: 10 marks
Past
Academic Record: The marks for academic record would
be allotted as follows:
Std. X:
80% and above = 5 marks
65 % and above but less than 80% = 2 marks
Std. XII:
80% and above = 5 marks
65% and above but less than 80% = 2 marks
Work
Experience: No weightage is given to experience below
one year and the criteria for distribution of marks for experience
are length of experience, continuity, relevance & job profile.
1 year and below = 0
1 to 2 years = 4 marks
2 to 3 years = 8 marks
3 years and above = 10 marks
Written
communication skills: An essay would have to be written
by the student before he/she appears for the G.D. & Individual
Presentation and after the process is complete students would
be required to write a report based on his / her observation
(Topics will be given separately)

on Brand Management, Market Research & Corporate Communications.
Eligibility

Fees and Expenses
For
MBA and MBA in communications management will be approximately
Rs.1,60,000/- for the entire programme.
The
Part-Time evening courses offered are
Executive
MBA
It is a 30 months, part-time, post graduate degree programme.
It presents a deeper understanding of organizational dynamics
and develops core business competencies in marketing, finance,
strategy and management, incorporating new age learning techniques
such as e-learning.
Eligibility
The SIBM Executive MBA is open to Bachelor's Degree holders
with a minimum of 5 years' work experience after graduation.
Eligibility for company sponsored candidate: The candidate must
furnish the basic eligibility criteria for applying under this
category. Candidate must be working in the sponsoring company
at the time of admission. The top authorities like CEO or MD
must sponsor the candidate & submit a letter to that effect.
The candidate shall continue his services in the sponsoring
company as long as he / she is doing the course. The moment
he / she leaves, his / her studies admission will also be terminated.
The candidate must give an undertaking to that effect.
Criteria
for Company sponsor: Any company whose turnover is
more than 5 crores. Preferences will be given to the corporates
who are associated with SIBM in terms of summer & final
placements, live projects etc.
Selection
Procedure: The selection shall be on the basis of entrance
test. The test will be of objective type with no negative marking.
Students will be tested on Business Awareness / Verbal Ability
/ Reasoning Ability / Personnel test etc.
Intake: Total 60 Seats (Open 30/ Company Sponsored 30)
